The first ever Global Operator Challenge by Caterpillar was held in 2019-2020 with over ten thousand operators participating from thirty different countries around the world. The winner, Jaus Neigum, was from Canada and took home the title of the “best in the world.” The finals were held at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas in 2020 where he was crowned as the first champion.
Now, Caterpillar is all set to once again invite operators to participate in the challenge. In their quest to find the “best in the world,” they are inviting participants from over forty countries. The competition will include three different rounds that will test the operator’s skills and precision when handling CAT machinery. Different skill-based tests will allow the operators to show off their speed, accuracy, and agility when operating machinery.
If you are looking to participate in the Global Operator Challenge, you will first have to sign up to participate in a local Operator Challenge event. The finalists of the local challenge will reach the regionals, and the winners of that will be able to participate in the Global Operator Challenge finals. The final competition will be held in 2023 at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas where operators will compete to win the title of the “best in the world.”
