Develon Launches First Machine After Rebranding

Develon, formerly known as Doosan Infracore, has now launched its first machine, the DX89R-7 compact excavator, as a part of their rebranding efforts. The company announced last month that they would be rebranding all of their equipment and dealerships to Develon over the course of the coming year.

An official launch of the new brand is scheduled for ConExpo 2023 in March.

The new DX89R-7 compact excavator replaces the DX85R-3 and features more lifting power and horsepower, making it a bridge between Develon’s smaller mini excavators and crawler excavators. The new excavator also includes torque-limiting piston pumps that respond to load demands and it will also help in delivering forces to the machine’s arm and bucket in order to meet work requirements.

Develon touts the new excavator’s lift-over-side capacity, fast cycle times, and an increased integrated counterweight. A 65-horsepower Tier 4 Final Develon D24 diesel engine powers the machine and it also features a reduced tail swing and width-protected swing frame designed for congested jobsites. The machine’s height also increases the traction force, allowing customers to push more material with a dozer blade.

The DX89R-7 can also be configured with a long arm that would provide 2 more feet of dig depth and reach. The machine is also versatile, with a standard hydraulic quick-coupler-ready design and updated auxiliary hydraulics configured for quick attachment connections and changes. A wide range of attachments is available, including augers, hydraulic breakers, plate compactors, rippers, and grapples.

In addition to being powerful and versatile, the DX89R-7 also offers all-day comfort for it’s operators, with standard air conditioning, Bluetooth streaming and hands-free audio, a deluxe, adjustable seat that also features extra layers of insulation, and a spacious cab made from innovative, noise-reducing materials. With the excavator an open canopy with rollover protective structure (ROPS) is also available.

Develon’s rebranding efforts will see all its equipment and dealerships rebranded to Develon over the course of the year. The launch of the DX89R-7 is a significant milestone inMare company’s transition, and they are now looking forward to introducing the new brand at the ConExpo 2023 in March.
