Hitachi, the Japanese industrial equipment and services provider, is all set to unveil new cutting-edge technology at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023. The company has ended its decades-long joint excavator production venture with John Deere and is now introducing a range of new machines that incorporate advanced hydraulic and safety systems, “internet of things” services and telematics.
At the Las Vegas Convention Center, Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc. will showcase 27 of its latest machines with various new options, including excavators and wheel loaders. Hitachi’s next-generation Dash-7 excavators and wheel loaders are designed to be reliable and optimize all while reducing the total operating costs.
Features
Among the latest innovations is the TRIAS III hydraulic system, which allows the three hydraulic pumps to work together in order to direct the oil flow making greater efficiency of the bucket, arm and boom possible. Hitachi is also making use of its Aerial Angle peripheral-vision camera system for better visibility around its machines, providing a 270-degree view of the machine’s immediate environment. There is also an improved Auto Power Up function that is featured on the ZW160-7 wheel loaders, which adjusts the speed of the engine automatically to provide more control when climbing hills for fuel economy and a shorter travel time.
In addition to these features, Hitachi is expanding its ConSite suite of telematics tools to go beyond monitoring machine fault codes. Two new tools, ConSite Oil and ConSite Air, will also be on display at the event. ConSite Oil makes it possible to keep an eye on the engine and hydraulic oil conditions in order to catch any oil degradation before they damage any critical systems. On the other hand, ConSite Air provides the option to update software and access diagnostics remotely, making it possible for the dealers to remotely diagnose any issues that may arise.
ConExpo will provide the perfect platform for Hitachi to unveil multiple upgrades and new options for its machines, showcasing its cutting-edge technologies that increase efficiency and safety while lowering the total cost of ownership. With the dissolution of its agreement with John Deere, Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc. has added 150 new employees, reflecting the company’s growing commitment to expanding its portfolio of innovative industrial equipment and services.
