Caterpillar has expanded its range of attachments for backhoes and mini excavators with the introduction of several new options. These include multipurpose and demolition grapples, two new vibratory plate compactors, and a cold planer attachment. The new attachments are designed to offer increased versatility, accuracy, and efficiency in a range of applications, from heavy-duty material handling to paving and milling jobs.
Multipurpose Grapples
Cat introduces G206 and G208 multipurpose grapples for use with the Cat Tiltrotator lineup.
- Designed for 5- to 10-ton mini hydraulic excavators.
- G206 has a maximum closing force of 3,260 pounds-force, while G208 has a 4,136-lbf closing force.
- Constructed from AR450 steel with high-abrasion resistance for longer wear under extreme conditions.
Demolition Grapples
When it comes to waste management, recycling, and heavy-duty material handling, you will find the G306 and G308 to be perfect for the job.
- The slim design enables them to slide into small corners and they also possess 360-degree bidirectional rotation capabilities.
- A 0.31 cubic yard load capacity and 5- to 6-t small hydraulic excavators are compatible with the G306 model.
- G308 has a load capacity of 0.21 cu y and works with micro hydraulic excavators weighing 7- to 10-t.
Vibratory Plate Compactors
The CVP28 and CVP55 are now included in the company’s vibratory plate compactor lineup as well. Cat is also going to relaunch the CVP16 and CVP40 with new design enhancements.
- Cat backhoe loaders and excavators from the 302.7 to 313 series include heavy-duty bodies and quality components and these new additions are on par with them.
- Users can add a backfill blade and a swivel mount to these machines, which are made to compact soil, sand, gravel, and asphalt.
- The compaction widths range from 12 to 26 inches, compact areas from 2 to 5.7 square ft, and vibration frequencies from 2,000 to 2,400 vibrations per minute.
Cold Planer Attachments
New to the Cat Cold Planers family are PC35 and PC45, designed for residential and commercial environments.
- PC35 has a 13.8-inch working width and 5-inch maximum milling depth, while PC45 has a 17.7-inch cutting width and a 6-inch cutting depth.
- PC35 works with side-shift backhoe loaders and 5- to 6-t mini hydraulic excavators, while PC45 is built for use with backhoe loaders and 7- to 10-t mini hydraulic excavators.
- A pressure gauge to help with adjusting ground speed, a cut depth indicator to quickly see the set depth, and manual milling depth adjustment are also included.
